20 Fun Bridal Shower (and Bachelorette Party) Games (2024)

20 Fun Bridal Shower (and Bachelorette Party) Games (1)

Welcome to the list of my favorite bridal shower and bachelorette party games!

There are some embarrassing games here, too, that work best for the bachelorette party, gazette party, or hen’s party.

How Many Games Should You Play at a Bridal Shower?

2-3 games are perfect for a bridal shower. If you play some really short games, you could add another 1 or 2. At a smaller and more intimate shower with just close friends, you can play more games than at a larger party.

What Types of Games Should You Play at a Bridal Shower?

The types of games to play depend a lot on the location and guests. Are you indoors or outdoors? Many or few guests?

I prefer games that make people talk about the upcoming wedding or help people get to know the bride-to-be. However, some fast-paced games are a great shakeup to add fun and entertain onlookers.

What Types of Games Do You Play at a Bachelorette Party?

When playing games at a bachelorette party, don’t be afraid to be bold and go wild (if the bride-to-be appreciates that kind of fun). For example, arrange a quiz that makes the guests blush or prepare a game involving suspicious items.

Anagram GameA Fun and Easy Bridal Shower Game (with Embarrassing Version)

You will need: Pieces of paper and pens for all the participants.

This bridal shower activity is fun, even if you’ve played it before. Since the names in the game constantly change, the players will always be up for a new challenge.

A good thing about this game is that the bride-to-be (or groom) can participate. The Anagram Game can be played both in teams and individually.

The game begins with everybody writing down the full names of the two persons marrying each other on their paper. Then, you set a timer for 5 minutes (or 8-10 minutes if you want to make the game less stressful). During this time, the players must scramble the letters from the names to write down as many words as possible on a specific theme.

Some kind and friendly themes are:

    • Names
    • Wedding-related words
    • Words you associate with the couple

If you want to make it into a bit of an embarrassing bridal shower game, the theme can, for example, be:

    • Dirty or naughty words
    • Name of Ex-partners
    • Words you relate to the wedding night

The player/team with the most correct words wins the game when the timer runs out.

Balloon PopA Very Fun Bridal Shower Game (Onlookers Will Love It)

You will need: Balloons and strings.

Balloon Pop is a very fun game to play on all occasions. So why not play it with friends at a Bachelorette party or a bridal shower?

The game can be played in many forms, but my personal favorite is this one. First, divide the participants into teams. Then, have them attach a balloon hanging beneath their lower back. Now the teams must queue up, one line for each group, and wait for the start signal.

When the game begins, the participants must try to pop the balloons hanging in front of them. So, without touching the balloon with any hands, the last player must try to hump the ballon on the person standing before them. When they succeed in popping the balloon, the next person in line will attack the balloon hanging in front of them, etc.

This continues until the balloon pops at the player standing first in line. This person must then run back to the team member standing last in line and pop their balloon to win the game.

    Bridal Shower ABC-game

You will need: Pens and papers.

Provide each guest with a paper containing all the letters of the alphabet. Now, let everyone try to fill the letters with something they associate with the bride-to-be.

    For example: A - astonishing, B - breakfast-lover, C - curios.

The guest that manages to fill in the most letters wins the game. You can also award the top 5 most creative answers if you want to.

Let the bride-to-be keep the answers as a memory.

    Child or drunk?

You will need: something for taking notes. Pens and paper or smart phones would do.

In this game the participants will tell a story from their life that actually happened. It is the most fun if its something embarrassing, silly or unexpected, but anything will do really. The other participants will then have to guess if the person in question was a child or was drunk when the story took place.

If you never have been drunk you can just tell stories from your childhood.

The game will be most fun if everybody gets a little time to prepare themselves. Maybe they write it down on paper or their smart phones to read out loud. Everyone that guess correctly get 1 point (if you want to compete).

co*cktail CompetitionA Fun Bridal Shower Activity

    You will need: co*cktail ingredients.

All the participants at the bridal shower have something in common - the bride-to-be. Some of them may be friends, family, or colleagues. But who knows the bride’s favorite drink the best?

Divide the participants at the bridal shower into a team of 2-3 people. Then, let them prepare a co*cktail drink they believe the bride-to-be will enjoy the most (If the bride-to-be avoids alcohol, just leave that ingredient out of the game).

When everyone is ready, the bride-to-be will be the judge. The winning co*cktail will then be served to everybody and given a name. Maybe it will even appear as a surprise during the wedding reception?

Dance freeze!A Fun Dance Game for Bridal Showers

You will need: An open area for dancing and some dance-friendly music.

Have fun and warm up the guests with this bridal shower dance game.

Prepare a playlist with all the party songs the bride-to-be enjoys. Or some ridiculous love songs. Then, have everyone dance to the music. It is most fun if everyone really gets their bodies moving.

When the music stops, everybody must freeze and try not to move. The bride-to-be will then be the judge and point out the individuals who fail to freeze and thus are out of the game.

Then the music starts for another round until only the winner is left.

A Fun Version of the Game

When the music stops, the participants must freeze in a position they think symbolizes the bride-to-be. It can, for example, be posing as her hobby, profession, or something else that is significant for her.

Dizzy BatA Fun Fast-Paced Outdoor Bridal Shower/Bachelorette Game

You will need: A stick/bat and some bridal clothes/items per team.

Dizzy Bat is a fun outdoor game and even more fun to watch. This version is great if you’re having your bachelorette party or bridal shower outside.

Prepare the game by burrowing or buying some of the things a bride wears to a wedding. For example veils, tiaras, long dresses (or some very inappropriate and embarressing items for laughs). Use these to prepare one bridal outfit per team and put these in one pile per team near the starting line.

Place a stick/bat 30-50 feet in front of the starting line, one for each team, and make sure to leave a lot of space between the sticks. You have the chance here to use whatever dirty, funny, or inappropriate item you wish as a stick.

The task is for each team member, in turn, to put on their team’s outfit, run to their team’s stick, spin around 7 times, and then run back. When spinning, the players must hold one end of the stick against their forehead and the other against the ground (in the same spot).

After running and spinning and running back, the players have to undress again and hand the outfit over to the next team member. The first team to have all their members back at the finish line wins the game.

Play in a public area to make it all even more embarrassing!

Guess My Husband-To-Be?A Fun Bridal Shower Game on the Move

You will need: Clothespins, photos and a large poster.

This is a very friendly bridal shower game that’s fun if you are on the move (for example, in a park, mall, out on the street, or in a city). Here, the bride-to-be needs to involve strangers in the game.

Prepare the game by finding a large poster. Then add some yarn/string to make it a necklace for the bride-to-be to hang around her neck. This way, she’s displaying the poster on her stomach or chest.

Then attach four photos (two at the top and two at the bottom) to the poster. One photo must show the groom. The others should be photos of male friends or some of her friends' boyfriends.

Now, the bride-to-be must head out and ask strangers to please attach a clothespin next to the photo they believe is the groom-to-be.

By the end of the day, you’ll see who got the most votes.

    Good luck, groom!

Guess the Love SongFun and engaging bridal shower game

You will need: Pen and paper for each participant and a list of rewritten love song titles.

Guess the love song is a very entertaining bridal shower game for all ages. It requires more preparation than most, but that makes it much more fun!

List about 15-20 love songs. Pick any you like. Then rewrite their titles using new words to make them hard to guess. You can go as far as you want here and also have a chance to customize the wording for your guests.

Print this list of rewritten love song names, one for each guest. Leave space for the guests to write their answers for each love song.

Play in teams or individually, and let the bride-to-be participate too. Set a timer to make it harder and more fun. Award one point for each correct guess. The team/person that succeeds in getting the highest score wins.

Here are a few examples to get you going:

    • Thy tune - Your Song
    • Dashing the elevation - Running Up That Hill
    • A fire that burns forever - Eternal Flame
    • I fear missing out - I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing
    • The time you utter naught - When You Say Nothing At All
    • This evening you were fantastic - Wonderful Tonight
    • My feelings are forever - I Will Always Love You
    • My pump’s life continues - My Heart Will Go On
    • Very deep for reals - Truly Madly Deeply
    • Maybe together with you - With Or Without You
    • Beside me and upright - Stand by Me

Guess the Wedding OutfitA Fun New and Low-Key Bridal Shower Game

You will need: Pens and papers for each participant.

This game is all about guessing what the bride will look like on her wedding day. Who knows her best?

Prepare the game by making up questions about what she’ll be wearing. For example, ask about the kind of dress, the bouquet, what shoes, etc.

    Here are a few examples.

Which hairstyle will the bride have? Up / Half up, half down / Down

Will there be any veil? Yes / No

What will the bouquet look like? Large and wild / Classy and Petite / Other

What kind of shoes will she wear? High heels / Sandals / Sneakers / Other

Write these on paper and hand one out to each guest.

The worst part is you’ll have to wait till the wedding for the answers! (Don’t coax the bride-to-be to answer if she doesn’t want to!)

How Well Does the Bride Know the GroomBridal Shower Game With Questions

You will need: Questions that the groom has answered.

This is a very relaxed but still fun bridal shower game to play.

Prepare the game by coming up with questions for the groom. Ask casual but personal questions that not everyone would know. You could, of course, also ask anything embarrassing or otherwise, as you see fit. Then kindly ask him to answer them and bring the questions and answers to the bridal shower.

    Example questions:

    • Favorite TV-serie?
    • Favorite snack?
    • What are the names of his grandparents?
    • What did he think the first time he met his future wife?

To play the game, read the questions aloud at the bridal shower and let the bride-to-be try to guess his answers.

    • Bridal Shower

In Other WordsA Funny Bridal Shower Game

You will need: Words relating to a bridal shower, the bride-to-be or a wedding.

In Other Words is a fun and entertaining game at a bridal shower. The rules are easy and you can play it individually or in teams. This game is also fun for onlookers to observe.

    Preparing Words/Phrases

All you need to prepare is lots of words or phrases written down on slips of paper.

Pick words related to weddings, engagements, and bridal showers. You can also get personal and use words related to the bride-to-be, such as words she often uses, items she frequently handles at work, and the names of pets she’s owned. Feel free to get creative here.

You also have a chance to include naughty and dirty words here if you want to, which can be lots of fun, and the bride-to-be won’t have to feel singled out since it’s all just words.

Write all these words/phrases on slips of paper, fold them, and put them in a bowl or box. Now you’re all set to play!

    Playing the Game

Let the bride-to-be pick one slip of paper and try to explain what it says without using any of the words written on it. For example, if the paper says “wedding cake”, she can’t use the words “wedding” or “cake” to explain it. Instead, she could say “a dessert served at the reception after someone gets married” for example.

The first guest to correctly guess the word/phrase gets a point. When the bride-to-be has read all slips, the guest with the most points wins the game.

    Team Version

Divide the guests into teams of 2-5 people.

Give each team their own bowl of words and let all teams play at the same time. One team member at a time should try to describe a word/phrase, and when the other members guess correctly, the next team member picks a new slip of paper. The team continues until they’ve read all slips and their bowl is empty.

The first team to finish all their slips wins.

Message To the BrideA Chance to Get Personal

You will need: Papers with statements on for the guests to fill out.

This is really an activity and not a game.

You need to prepare a small number of statements or leading sentences that you write down on paper and hand out to each guest. This is their chance to get personal and write directly to the bride. Make sure to frame the sentences in a positive and well-wishing air.

    Example sentences:

    • A favorite memory with you is…
    • One thing I really like about you is…
    • I wish you a…

Once someone has finished their message, they can sign it or keep their name secret. Afterward, you collect all papers and give them as a gift for the bride-to-be to keep.

    • Bridal Shower

Questions to the BrideBridal Shower Game for Large and Small Groups

You will need: Questions for the bride-to-be.

Have some fun asking the bride-to-be questions about her upcoming wedding, the groom, or anything else you’ve always wanted to know about her.

Prepare some questions and let the guests ask their own too. They can be naughty or clean (which can make the game fit a bachelorette/hen’s party). Just make sure not to offend anyone or humiliate the bride-to-be.

Here are some example feel-good questions:

    • How did you imagine your wedding as a child?
    • Whom did you imagine marrying when you were eight years old?
    • How did you announce the engagement to friends and family?
    • Which Disney character would you say is most similar to your partner in terms of personality?
    • If you would describe your love with a song title, which would it be?
    • Bridal Shower

Ring HuntA Nice Ice Breaker Bridal Showe Game

    You will need: Rings (plastic/toys).

If you are looking for a bridal shower game that can be played indoors and outdoors, Ring Hunt might be a good one.

Prepare the game by buying rings. Don’t buy too small ones. Then, hide these all around the room/house/garden or wherever the bridal shower is held.

When the guests arrive, you announce that there will be a ring hunt. The guest who has found the most rings in 30 minutes will win the game.

This will also serve as a friendly ice breaker game since everyone will be eager to search for the rings.

To make it a bit more exciting, you can award the winner a small prize.

If you would like to make the game a bit more challenging, you can divide the guests into couples. Then, you kindly ask them to tie one ankle each together.

Tampon in the Bottle GameA Fun and Tricky Bridal Shower Game

You will need: A water-filled bottle, a string, and a tampon for each participant.

This is a hilarious bridal shower party game. Of course, you can play it indoors, but it is the most fun to play outside on a lawn, garden, or park where there are enough space (and maybe some onlookers).

Place some water-filled bottles in a row at 20 yards from the starting line. Make sure to have enough space between the bottles.

Then equip the bride-to-be and some of her friends with a tampon and a yarn each. Instruct the participants to tie the tampon in one end of the yarn and tie the other end around their own waist. Let the tampon hang from the back.

When the start signal sounds, the competitors must run to their bottle and get the tampon into their bottle. No hands are allowed, so the competitors must squat.

The tampon will get soaked and stuck in the bottle when a player succeeds. The player now needs to run back and cross the starting line with the bottle and tampon hanging from the back to win. But, of course, no hands are allowed.

If the bottle comes off, the player is out of the game.

The Lingerie GameA Fun and Popular Bridal Shower Game

You will need: To ask the guests to bring some piece of lingerie that reflects their personality.

This is a popular bridal shower game that is easy to organize and that, at the same time, provides the bride-to-be with some lovely gifts.

When inviting the guests to the bridal shower, you ask them to bring a piece of lingerie of their choice. The underwear should reflect the person buying it. Please provide them with the bride-to-be’s size to make it easier.

When at the bridal shower, the bride-to-be will examine the lingerie and try to guess which guest bought which underwear.

The bride-to-be will then get to keep the lingerie as a gift.

The theme can, of course, be a different one like:

    • Bathing suits
    • Jewelry
    • Bridal Shower

The Memory Guessing GameA Nice Low-Key Game for Bridal Showers

You will need: Slips of paper, pens, and a bowl.

Have all the guests at the bridal shower write down a memory they share with the bride-to-be. Then, fold them and put them into the bowl.

Now, let the bride-to-be pick one slip of paper at a time and try to guess which bridal shower-guest that wrote which memory.

The Wedding Dress GameA Fun and Low-Key Bridal Shower Game

You will need: To ask the guests to bring (or send you) a photo of their favorite wedding dress (or other wedding clothes).

This is a fun guessing game to play with the bride-to-be at a bridal shower.

Prepare the game by asking the guests to bring a photo of a wedding dress they find stunning and could picture themselves wearing at their wedding. Of course, it’s ok to choose another kind of outfit if a guest prefers something else than a traditional dress.

To make it even easier, you can ask the guests to send you a photo to your email before the bridal shower. Then, you write down which guest sent what picture and print them out.

When at the bridal shower, you put the pictures on a table (or a wall). Now, the bride-to-be must try to determine which guest chose which dress.

The game is very fun to play if the participant has chosen a dress/outfit related to their personality.

Toilet Paper GameA Fun and Creative Bridal Shower Activity

    You will need: Toilet paper.

This creative bridal shower game is very trendy. It comes in many forms, but the most popular version is the Toilet Paper Lingerie Game.

The rules are simple. Let the guests try to create some fabulous lingerie only using toilet paper. Then, give them 5-10 minutes to complete their work.

The bride-to-be will be the judge and decide which team will be the winner. Maybe you have prepared some small prize to be awarded.

Another very popular form of this game is to make a wedding dress and veil out of toilet paper. Choose the version you prefer!

Another fun part of the game is that it surely will provide the guests with some amusing photos.
